At Camp Dora Golding, we believe in going BIG with everything we do, and our unparalleled Miles Learning Program is no exception.

Under the leadership of our esteemed Learning Director, Rabbi Noach Sauber, the program has revolutionized the approach to learning at camp. Campers not only earn miles during their daily learning groups but also have the opportunity to earn additional miles on Shabbos afternoons. By voluntarily dedicating three hours each Shabbos to learning, campers accumulate miles for every hour they study.

While every camper can earn miles, the ultimate goal for many is achieving Max Miles status. Each session, campers who reach this milestone—by learning the maximum possible hours—are treated to an exclusive BBQ. This event has become the most sought-after invitation of the summer, with nearly 70% of campers attending.

The true pinnacle of the program, however, is the Miles Auction. This thrilling event features amazing prizes, with top-tier prizes collectively valued at thousands of dollars, reserved for Max Miles campers. From the coveted Talmid Chacham package to signed sports memorabilia and cutting-edge tech, there’s something for everyone. Each year, the auction grows in excitement and scale, reflecting the ongoing support of our alumni and our commitment to the future.

Our learning program also includes the weekly Mega Masmid initiative, where campers receive scratch-off tickets for participation in learning groups, with the chance to win prizes each week.

Additionally, every Friday afternoon, campers eagerly gather at the shul, dressed for Shabbos, 30 minutes early for the ESPN program—Enter Shabbos Properly Now. This program, started in memory of Eyal, Gilad, and Naftali HY”D, inspires campers to prepare for Shabbos through learning, setting the right tone for the day of rest.

While our exceptional sports and programming are truly unmatched, we take immense pride in our learning program and the joy it brings to thousands of campers, both past and present, each summer.
